Music, like philosophy, is a journey toward the inexpressible — a language where the deepest truths are felt before they are understood.
Dr. Jawwad is an A-Class Vocalist of PTV and AA-Class Vocalist of Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation since 1995. He began his journey at Government College Lahore, earning the Certificate of Distinguished Services in Music in 1991 — the very year his MA thesis explored music as a form of art in aesthetics.

Dr. Jawwad's literary output is distinctive for its breadth across two languages — Urdu and Punjabi — and two forms: the short story and the personal essay. This dual practice reflects a deep commitment to both the classical Urdu literary tradition and the living vernacular of his home soil.
His Urdu short stories inhabit a world of quiet emotional intelligence — characters navigating loss, memory, and the textures of everyday life with a philosopher's sensitivity. His Punjabi stories carry a different register: rooted in the soil of Punjab, warmer and more immediate, threaded with the particular humour and tenderness of that landscape.
His essays in رے ہمدم مرے دوست (2025) are perhaps his most recent work — intimate reflections on friendship, meaning, and the passing of time. He is also a playwright and a founding member of the Progressive Writers Association and Halqa Arbab-e-Zoq since 1994. Currently, he is working on several books relating to the philosophies of Plato, Aristotle, Iqbal, and Karl Popper. He is also writing an Urdu Novel and a Book about Different forms of Art.

He was invited as Guest Speaker at Minhaj University's Philosophy of Iqbal seminar (2024), participated in the international Iqbal Conference in Muscat, Oman (2011), and was invited by Neo TV Lahore as Guest Speaker on Iqbal Day 2023.
His published article Situational and Perennial Themes: A Blend of Philosophy and Literature (2024) exemplifies his ongoing work at the intersection of Iqbalian thought and contemporary literary theory.
